Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, accessing or using the Lingua mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, do not use the App.

1. About the App

Lingua is a mobile app designed for native Turkish, Spanish or Russian speakers learning English. It provides scene-based learning, quizzes, vocabulary practice, and (for premium users) AI conversation practice.

2. Account & Use

The App can be used without creating an account. It works with an anonymous device-specific identifier.

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for unlawful purposes
Reverse-engineer or decompile the source code
Abuse the App with bots or automated tools
Use the conversation feature for harassment, hate speech, or unlawful content
Copy or redistribute App content (scenes, expressions, audio) without permission

3. Premium Subscription

Premium unlocks:

Unlimited scene access (1/day on free)
AI conversation practice
All deep learning notes (usage, mistakes, extras)
Detailed progress statistics

Pricing

Monthly: $1.99 / month
Yearly: $19.99 / year
3-day free trial

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically. Unless you cancel at
least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your plan renews at the
same price. Apple or Google charges your account within 24 hours before period end.

Cancellation

iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Lingua → Cancel
Android: Google Play Store → Account → Subscriptions → Lingua → Cancel
Or in-app: Profile → Manage Subscription

You retain premium access until the end of the current period.

Standard Apple/Google refund policies apply:

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. Contact support@lingua.app.

4. Intellectual Property

All App content (software, scenes, text, audio, graphics, logos) is the intellectual property of Selenity Teknoloji or used under license. Reproduction, distribution or derivation beyond personal non-commercial use is not permitted.

5. Service Warranty

The App is provided "as is". We do not warrant fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Temporary service interruptions
Data loss (on-device SQLite database corruption)
Issues with third-party services (RevenueCat, Google Gemini)
Use of the App outside its educational purpose

The App is not a replacement for professional language instruction — it's a tool for personal study.

6. Account Termination

If you violate these Terms we may suspend or close your account (device identifier basis) without prior notice.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. We'll announce material changes in-app and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes are subject to the courts and execution offices of Istanbul.
